SAMK has

– over 1200 new Bachelor’s degree students in autumn 2014.
89 new Master’s degree students
41 international degree students in the Degree Programme in Business Administration in Rauma and 8 in the Degree Programme in Physiotherapy.
80 exchange students in Tiilimäki, Tiedepuisto and Kanali campuses in the autumn.

SAMK in FIGURES: Library: loans, searches and loadings

Clients made 883, 693 searches for electronic data in the library in 2013.  The most popular site was MOT dictionary and the second place was taken by searches to health care data. Altogether 246,720 searches were made to the collections of SAMK’s library.

Electronic data was loaded 215, 614 times. Journals were most often searched from the ePress and Ebsco databases. E-books were mainly searched from Ebrary and SanomaPro and other information from Terveysportti (health care database).

Altogether 45, 355 books were loaned from the library in 2013. In addition, 33,783 loans were renewed in the library and 197,423 online.

SAMK has degree and exchange students and staff members with 50 different nationalities – from Albania to Yemen.

Altogether 61 partner institutions from 35 different countries with which both staff and student exchange works successfully.

SAMK in figures: exchange periods

188 students from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences participated in the long-duration study or exchange periods of at least three months in 2012.

140 students arrived in SAMK for their long-duration exchange period.

10 teachers made an exchange visit of at least one month. Six teachers arrived in SAMK, and four teachers from our university set off to our partner universities.
